I don’t know what exactly it is about winter that makes me want to read more than usual. Maybe it’s the colder weather that keeps me indoors, or maybe it’s cozy clothes and cozy candles on a snowy winter evening. Whatever it is, this wonderful reading fever hits me every winter without fail.
And it’s not that I want to read just anything during the winter months. There are certain types of books that simply read better when it’s cold and snowy outside! Below I am listing some of my favorite reads for this time of the year. I chose these books because they make me feel warm and cozy and/or they send chills up my spine that keep me turning their pages. Some of these are classics, some are historical fiction and one is dystopian.

I have a few of those books on my to-read pile, but you can never go wrong with Austen.
